Use your own carrier contracts

Your own carrier contracts are your existing contracts with shipping service providers. As a rule: one contract per carrier. The contract covers all your negotiated terms for all of the carrier’s products and services – including all shipping methods, for example. You can use both your own carrier contracts and the rates centrally pre-negotiated by JTL.

The only case in which you cannot use your own carrier contracts is when you are using the JTL Start and Shipping Start editions in combination. With all other combinations, at least 3 of your own carrier contracts are available (e.g. JTL Advanced + Shipping Start = 3 contracts, or JTL Advanced + Shipping Pro = 5 contracts).

Multi-parcel shipping (Multi-Collo)

If an order doesn't fit in a single parcel, you can combine multiple parcels into one shipment. You record weight and dimensions per parcel, generate the shipping labels for all of them in one step, and all parcels remain assigned to the order.

Packaging administration

You store your cardboard boxes with dimensions and empty weight, and select for each parcel the packaging that is actually used. This ensures the correct dimensions appear on the shipping label and in the price calculation. You can continue to use packaging from your existing ERP/WMS processes, or maintain them directly in Shipping 2.0.

Item-to-parcel mapping

If you track parcel contents in WMS Pro, the items contained in each parcel are known at all times. Shipping 2.0 then passes the actual contents per parcel rather than all line items from the delivery note. This ensures shipment data and customs declaration match on a per-parcel basis.
