Who we are - and where we want to go
A brief look at our company, the partners in the JTL Group and the opportunities to take on responsibility with us.
Our path to the JTL Group
JTL began in 2008 as a small start-up founded by brothers Janusch and Thomas Lisson. Today, we are a leading player in German-speaking e-commerce and support over 50,000 retailers with innovative software solutions. Headquartered in Hückelhoven and with locations in Hürth, Halle (Saale), and Kassel, we are growing steadily - together with international subsidiaries and partners. Our core product is the JTL-Wawi merchandise management system, which is linked to almost everything that is developed within the company.
More than JTL - the strength of our group
The JTL Group is continuously expanding its 360° portfolio through specialized solution providers such as GREYHOUND, countX, JERA, Returnless, Dealavo, and Bringly. Together, we offer our customers a powerful ecosystem for multichannel sales, warehouse logistics, shipping and returns management, production, customer service, VAT automation, financial accounting, and price monitoring with dynamic pricing – all from a single source.

This role operates at the highest technical level of the IT team. You carry significant responsibility for architecture, solution design and technical quality, ensuring that initiatives are implemented sustainably, scalably and in line with the IT strategy.
This is not classic management. Your influence comes from technical depth, clear judgment and the ability to convince teams and stakeholders. Principals at this level shape the organization’s technical standard together – with a high degree of autonomy in their domains and on equal footing with peers of the same rank.
You take ownership of the JTL Group website as a central growth and conversion channel – not as a pure marketing asset, but as one of the most important levers for our future growth. You are responsible for structure, technical foundation, user journeys and further development, and you steer SEO as well as GAIO at group level. A key component is the migration of all products and subsidiaries to the JTL domain – a highly visible, strategic project with direct business impact.
JTL is one of the leading providers of e-commerce software in the German-speaking region – with around 450 employees across the group and more than 50,000 customers from a wide range of industries. We develop scalable, flexible solutions for the online retail of the future – from ERP systems to shop and marketplace integrations.
You will become part of our IT team and form the bridge between business and engineering. We translate what the business units need into things our IT team can actually build – and follow up when something doesn’t add up technically. You will feel at home here if you enjoy understanding how systems really work and bringing people together without relying on a title to do so.
countX is a Berlin-based SaaS company that simplifies EU VAT compliance for e-commerce businesses. Our platform automates VAT registration, reporting, and compliance processes, enabling online merchants to expand across Europe with less administrative effort and lower compliance risk.
We’re looking for a (Junior) Customer Success Manager (f/m/d) who doesn’t just solve problems — but anticipates them. You’ll be the trusted face our customers turn to, helping them get the most out of our products while building lasting connections that fuel mutual growth. As a bridge between our customers, our operations teams, and our developers, you’ll bring fresh perspectives, a genuine passion for people, and an open mind for the ways technology and AI are reshaping what great customer experience looks like. If you’re ready to make a real impact from day one, we’d love to meet you.

We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to own features end-to-end—from problem discovery and system design to implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will work autonomously across the stack, making pragmatic engineering decisions that deliver meaningful customer value. At countX, you won’t be handed a backlog of predefined tickets; instead, you’ll be trusted to identify opportunities, define solutions, and bring them to life.
Our engineering team embraces modern AI-assisted development practices and works extensively with Claude Code to accelerate development and improve code quality. Our tech stack includes PHP, TypeScript, Python, Go, and React, and we value engineers who are comfortable working across technologies and choosing the right tool for the problem at hand.

As a Backend Developer at JTL, you will help develop and modernize the backend services and business logic that power our software platform. You’ll work with modern .NET technologies and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our products toward modular architectures, modern APIs, and cloud-ready solutions.
We believe software development is about more than writing code. We value quality, maintainability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
AI-assisted development is part of our daily work. Our engineers use tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and ChatGPT to support coding, refactoring, debugging, and documentation. We expect you to have experience with these tools or a willingness to learn and use them effectively.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager (f/m/d) who, as a local CMO, takes end-to-end responsibility for the marketing of a product area – with your own budget, your own pipeline and plenty of room to shape things. From positioning through campaign strategy to content creation: you think strategically and roll up your sleeves operationally. In doing so, you draw on our central shared services and work AI-natively to deliver results quickly and efficiently.
This is a backend-first role — you think of yourself primarily as a backend developer, and the core of the work lives in the .NET / MongoDB space. You’ll develop the REST API behind our Fulfillment Network (FFN) and Trade Network (TDN), products used by thousands of customers every day, and own the integration points where backend services and the JTL-Wawi client need to work together seamlessly.
You think in systems and data flows rather than isolated tickets, switch comfortably between technologies, and thrive in a fast-moving, startup-like environment. The principle here is simple: you build it, you run it. You don’t own the underlying hardware, but you own your application’s operational readiness end to end — when outages happen, you resolve them the same business day. Stability and availability matter to you as much as shipping new features, and you take pride in making the product faster and more reliable with every iteration.
We are looking for a strategically minded automation expert to build and scale the group’s marketing automation funnel from the ground up. You orchestrate AI-powered, cross-channel customer journeys – from lead nurturing through lifecycle stages to trigger-based flows – and thereby drive new-customer conversion as well as group-wide up- and cross-sell. You work closely with performance marketing, product growth and RevOps, and create templates and self-service building blocks that enable every product team to operate independently within the shared framework.
countX is a Berlin-based SaaS company that simplifies EU VAT compliance for e-commerce businesses. Our platform automates VAT registration, reporting, and compliance processes, enabling online merchants to expand across Europe with less administrative effort and lower compliance risk.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our VAT Operations team at countX. In this role, you’ll prepare, validate, and clean e-commerce data from sources like Amazon, ERP systems, and invoicing tools, and manage VAT reporting across EU countries — including OSS, local VAT returns, and VAT registrations. You’ll also support Intrastat reporting, contribute to process improvements, and work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver reliable, high-quality compliance work.
As an Engineering Manager at JTL, you ensure that requirements reliably turn into working software. You create clarity around goals, risks and priorities and support your team in delivering sustainably and with ownership. You work closely with Product Management, Tech Leads and Architecture – you are not responsible for product strategy or architecture decisions, but for operational delivery, team leadership and transparency in day-to-day operations.

As our product ecosystem continues to grow, we are investing in the foundations that enable frontend teams to build faster, more consistently, and at scale. For this reason, our Platform Architecture & Developer Productivity team is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who will play a key role in sustainably strengthening frontend development at JTL.
In this role, you will support other frontend teams by defining standards and best practices, providing templates, and developing central libraries that make everyday development more productive.
In addition, you will act as an advisor to our frontend developers, help with the adoption of our guidelines, and contribute to ensuring a consistent, efficient, and modern frontend landscape at JTL.
JTL is one of the leading providers of e-commerce software in the German-speaking region. With our Warehouse Management System (WMS), we support customers in processing thousands of orders every day – from goods receipt and picking through to shipping. Performance, stability and reliability are business-critical here.
Today, our WMS is closely connected to the ERP system. Step by step, we are advancing the architecture and creating clearly defined interfaces, modern APIs and new cloud services. In doing so, we are modernizing a system used in production without disrupting ongoing operations – a technical challenge with a direct impact on our customers.
To support this, we are looking for reinforcement for a team of six developers and two QA engineers. We work in two-week sprints, make technical decisions together and actively use modern AI tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot in our everyday development work.
We’re looking for a senior technical leader to define and drive the architecture of Juno – the agentic AI layer at the core of our platform. You’ll be the go-to technical authority on how our agents are designed, orchestrated, and deployed at scale, making the hard architectural calls on everything from multi-agent coordination patterns to production infrastructure. This is a deeply hands-on role: you’ll be in the code daily, prototyping new approaches, setting the bar for engineering quality, and solving systems problems. If you want to be the person who shapes how agentic AI actually works in production – not in theory – this is the role.

We develop scalable, flexible solutions for the online retail of the future – from ERP systems through to shop and marketplace integrations.
As a dedicated and flexible team, we supply the JTL Group with data and lay the foundation for data-driven decisions. As a central interface, we turn distributed raw data into meaningful insights and place our focus on data quality and transparency. In addition to our internal Cloud Data Platform, we also want to develop dedicated products for our customers and deliver real added value. This is exactly where you take on responsibility for the strategy and implementation of the data core.
Our subsidiary Returnless from the Netherlands is looking for a Customer Success Manager (f/m/d) to start as soon as possible. As a Customer Success Manager, you are the central point of contact for our German-speaking customers. You help them successfully integrate Returnless into their day-to-day work and get the maximum long-term benefit from our platform.
As we are growing strongly in the German market together with our parent company JTL, we are looking for someone who not only supports our customers professionally, but also understands them linguistically and culturally
Our subsidiary Returnless. from the Netherlands is looking for an Account Executive (f/m/d) to start as soon as possible.
We are looking for a sales-driven personality to support us in further expanding Returnless in the German market.
This is not about aggressive sales or “hard selling”. Returnless solves a clear problem in e-commerce. Your task is to understand the challenges of potential customers, guide them professionally through their decision-making process, and show how our platform creates real added value. Our approach is clear: We don’t sell more than necessary – we deliver more than expected.
As an Engineering Manager in the JTL Selling area, you’ll make sure that requirements reliably turn into working, high-quality software. You’ll create clarity around goals, risks, and priorities, and support your team in delivering sustainably and with a strong sense of ownership.
In doing so, you’ll work closely with your team, Product Management, and architects. You won’t be solely responsible for product strategy or architectural decisions — but you’ll be able to challenge them and help shape them on a well-founded basis, drawing on your technical understanding. Your focus is on operational delivery, team leadership, and quality assurance in day-to-day operations.
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at JTL, you’ll take on an overarching role for our growing product portfolio. You’ll report directly to the Head of Growth Marketing and provide professional leadership to a small team. You’ll be responsible for the strategic direction of our product communications while also ensuring they are put into practice effectively. You’ll work at the interface of Product, Sales, Support, and Marketing. You don’t think in terms of individual products, but in terms of the JTL ecosystem — developing positioning that makes the interplay of our solutions visible along the customer journey. In doing so, you’ll craft clear positioning, define Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), and ensure our solutions are communicated convincingly. Alongside this strategic responsibility, you’ll be hands-on in execution: you’ll plan campaigns, develop content, and implement key initiatives yourself.
JTL is moving its platform to the cloud: contract management, license management and edition management are migrating out of the customer center into the JTL Cloud Platform – for a modern, unified customer experience that truly moves merchants forward. You decide what gets migrated and when, and what the new self-service processes in the JTL-Hub look like – always with an eye on conversion, activation and real merchant value. You have done exactly this before – and know what really matters when doing it.
JTL is one of the leading e-commerce platforms for small and medium-sized businesses in the DACH region – more than 50,000 merchants manage their inventory, orders and fulfillment processes with JTL software. We are now building the next growth lever: an App Store through which merchants discover, subscribe to and integrate extensions, integrations and add-ons directly into their daily work. This role is not about maintenance – it is about building.
GREYHOUND is part of the JTL Group and develops powerful solutions for customer service and document management – with a focus on around 1,000 B2C eCommerce customers. Our current tech stack includes Delphi 12 in the GREYHOUND server, React in the web client and PHP 8.x for the customer center around booking and hosting management.
In a dedicated team of 7 people, we work passionately to further develop GREYHOUND technologically and position it even more strongly in our target markets – with the aim of inspiring existing JTL customers and taking customer service to the next level.
We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help build and scale Juno – the agentic AI layer powering our platform. You’ll turn ambitious AI designs into robust, production-ready systems. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll implement multi-agent workflows, integrate LLMs into real products, and continuously raise the bar on code quality and reliability. If you want to work at the cutting edge of applied AI – shipping real systems that make a real difference – this is the role for you.
As a Senior AI Developer, you will work at the intersection of traditional software engineering and cutting-edge AI research. Your main responsibility will be implementing AI algorithms, integrating them into our systems, and enhancing tools that significantly simplify everyday tasks for our customers and enable smarter workflows.
As part of the JTL Security Team, you’ll join a technically skilled, developer-focused group at the heart of the company. Our mission is to protect the JTL Group against a wide range of IT security threats. Together with our development teams, we design secure products and services — for both our on-premise solutions and the growing cloud environment. You can look forward to a diverse and challenging range of topics that require both technical excellence and strategic thinking.
We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer (f/m/d) who not only delivers high-quality design, but also actively shapes the quality and direction of our products. You will further develop existing design systems, introduce sound UX methods into our processes and support other designers in expanding their skills and increasing the overall design quality.
We look forward to getting to know you
